Industrial Relations Consultant

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology or law degree

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Bargaining Council Main Agreements and Sectoral Determinations, in addition to the application thereof in practice.

  • Own transport, valid driver’s licence and willing to travel.

  • Fully bilingual (minimum: fluent in English and basic Afrikaans)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS:

  • Chairing disciplinary inquires, facilitating incapacity investigations and grievances.

  • Assisting companies in restructuring and processes related to operational requirements.

  • Representing companies at the CCMA and Bargaining Councils in Conciliations and Arbitrations.

  • Consulting and advising clients on compliance with relevant labour legislation.

  • Consulting and advising on all IR related issues.

  • Negotiations with unions on behalf of companies.

Human Resource Management Consultant

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology degree

  • Working knowledge of South African labour legislation.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE), Employment Equity, Skills Development, Performance Management and HR best practice.

  • Own transport, valid driver’s licence and willing to travel.

  • Fully bilingual (minimum: fluent in English and basic Afrikaans)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OUTPUTS:

  • Analyse company HR requirements, needs and strategy to provide recommendations.

  • Facilitating workshops and group discussions such as Employment Equity and Training committee meetings.

  • Customise HR documentation, processes and projects in line with client needs.

  • Implement HR projects and monitor impact.

  • Advise, develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

  • Focus areas: Employment Equity, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, Performance Management, General HR practices.
