HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Occupational Health and Safety Act place extensive legal duties on employers and the users of machinery.
At Danshaw we specialize, not only in ensuring that our clients organizations comply with all Health and Safety Legislation, but are also trained to pick up possible areas of concern and to address it.
This service will include the following:
- Ensure compliance with and meet with the statuary requirements of the OHSA at all times
- Draft and implement OHSA policies and procedures
- Design and facilitate an evacuation policy and procedure for the company
- Design a first aid policy and procedure for the company
- Design a HIV/aids policy for the company
- Appoint OHS representatives for the company
- Arrange the relevant training for the OHS representatives
- Review the effectiveness of all Health and Safety measures in the workshop
- Inspect the workplace and identify potential hazards
- Examine causes of incidents that have occurred
- Facilitate the reporting and follow up of work related injuries or deaths
- Investigate any health and safety complaints lodged by employees
- Liaise with Health and Safety inspectors as required.
